of NSS Training college, on Mother's day was a tribute to all mothers in the
world who have made history with love and determination. Video introduced six
eminent mothers from Kerala who had fought for mankind and nature. Leela Kumari
Amma, the woman who had led the campaign against pesticide lobbies and powerful
plantation owners came first in the list. In the presentation introducing Leela Kumari Amma
was followed by Balamani Amma, the poetess of motherhood and Mayilamma, the
magnificent mother of Plachimada. The first woman high court Judge Anna Chandi and the famous freedom fighter
A.V Kuttimalu Amma were also remembered in the video presentation. Video ended
with the description about poetess Sugathakumari, the mother of love and
kindness. Soothness of Irayimman Thambi's ever favourite lullaby played in the
background, once again mirrored the love and sacrifices of every woman. The
video also introduced a few mothers from Himachal Pradesh like Jaya Jaitley,
Kinkeri Devi, Rattan Manjari and Suman Rawath.
