World Ocean Day celebration- Oceans as the reservoir of life

World Ocean Day was celebrated on June 8, familiarising the water sources of Himachal Pradesh through a video presentation. The rivers originating from the Himalayas such as Beas, Sutlej, Ravi, Chinab, and Yamuna eventually flow into the ocean carrying water nutrients and sediments that support marine ecosystems. The World Ocean Day is to protect and sustain oceanic and freshwater environments.
